William Tanoos grew up watching his father practice law in Terre Haute, Indiana. He graduated from Terre Haute South Vigo High School in 2001 and earned his Bachelor of Arts in history and political science, cum laude, from Indiana University in 2005. In 2008, he received his Juris Doctor from Indiana University's Robert H. McKinney School of Law. He is admitted to practice law in Indiana and the U.S. District Court for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana.
William became a lawyer to help people in need and advocate on behalf of those who are unsure of the legal process or unable to help themselves. He lives in Terre Haute and handles hearings throughout Indiana and across the country. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Indiana State Bar Association, the Vigo County/Terre Haute City Bar Association, and the National Organization of Social Security Claimants' Representatives.
Beyond the practice
William has run for the United States Congress, bringing the same commitment to public service that drives his legal work. He is also a filmmaker — he wrote, produced, co-directed, and acted in the full-length feature film The Drunk. A devoted family man, he's an avid Jeopardy player and enjoys reading, exercising, and spending time with friends and family.
